What is the Murang'a University of Technology (MUT) Library's mission?

The Library’s primary mission is to provide scholarly information resources to
support teaching, learning, and research at the university.

What are the library's operating hours?

The Library is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, it operates from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Library is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

What services does the Library offer?

The Library provides access to scholarly information and knowledge, preserves the university’s digital content, offers a digital catalogue (OPAC) for searching, reserving, and renewing books, checking out or borrowing books, reference and information services, cataloguing and classification services, and digital library services.

How can I find books and other materials in the library?

You can use the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) to search for, reserve,
and renew books online.

Yes, the library provides E-Journals and E-Resources, including various
databases.

Are there any specialised resources for medical programs?

Yes, through the Kenya Library and Information Services Consortium (KLISC), the library has added LWW Health Library, OVIDSP (Wolters Kluwer), and VitalSource databases for new medical programs.
